Tuan Van Le

+ Practice Lead (Tax Disputes)

Tuan is a litigator with over 15 years of experience in tax, insolvency and commercial litigation.  Having been the Executive Director of the ATO’s litigation department and a Judicial Registrar of the Federal Court of Australia, Tuan brings a deep understanding of the inner workings of Courts and Tribunals to the leadership of Aptum’s Tax Practice.

Tuan has acted for the Commissioner on a range of complex Part IVC, debt litigation and administrative law matters, and on taskforces such as Project Wickenby and the Serious Financial Crime Taskforce.

As the National Coordinating Registrar for Tax, Tuan’s proven ability to act in times of crisis led to his appointment as the Court’s National Bushfire Relief Coordinator and Coronavirus Coordinator.  Tuan is a current member of the Tax Committee of the Law Council of Australia.

Tuan has continually seen that the best results in litigation are achieved with early and ongoing investigations to inform a clear strategy.  Tuan draws on his extensive experience, strategic insights and a passion for advocacy to lead the delivery of better litigation experiences to Aptum’s taxation clients.
