Aptum is proud to announce its inclusion in the inaugural edition of ‘Best Law Firms – Australia.’

‘Best Law Firms’ is published by Best Lawyers, the oldest peer reviewed guide to the legal professional globally, who is this year producing firm awards for the first time outside the U.S. This recognition spotlights firms in Australia for professional excellence by practice area and jurisdiction, representing the top 2% of firms in the market. Aptum is included in tier 2 for the practice areas of Litigation and Tax Law.

The rankings, set to be distributed in partnership with The Australian on 31 May 2024, aim to provide clients with increased transparency in their search for top legal talent in Australia to meet their specific needs. ‘Best Law Firms’ research methodology is based on feedback from 1,500+ clients, 2,500+ lawyers and firm leaders, along with the firmographic details supplied by the firms, to identify leaders in areas such as expertise, cost-effectiveness, and likelihood to recommend.

Firms are eligible for consideration for ‘Best Law Firms’ rankings after receiving individual recognition in The Best Lawyers in Australia, of which Aptum’s Practice Lead (Tax Disputes), Tuan Van Le, has been recognised since 2023.

Aptum’s recognition in this publication reaffirms its dedication to providing top-tier dispute resolution services that not only meets but anticipates the needs of clients amidst an ever-evolving global market, and coincides with the firm seeing more international clients who require assistance with litigating in Australia.

On the growing complexity of commercial litigation, Nigel Evans, Aptum’s Managing Director, commented, “Disruptive technologies, changing consumer behaviours and evolving business models are leading to more novel legal disputes, particularly in sectors such as fintech, e-commerce, and the sharing economy.” Aptum also noted an increased importance of applying data and systems to effectively manage litigation, ensuring all relevant information can be accessed and leveraged.

We’re grateful to be recognised alongside leading practices in Australia, and to all our partners and clients who were involved in the research process that helped garner this award.
