Aptum Legal has been named as one of the Top Boutique Law Firms in Australia for 2021 by Australasian Lawyer. The list includes 35 top-performing boutique law firms, with Aptum being one of only five firms recognised in the category of commercial litigation/ dispute resolution.

In determining the nominated firms, the report considered “the strength of the matters handled by the firms, their longevity in the industry, their client service delivery approach and noteworthy achievements in meeting client needs.”

Nigel Evans, Managing Director at Aptum, commented “I’m proud to work with a team that continues to work so hard to deliver on what a boutique firm must always be – excellent, adaptable, and inventive. We’re continuing to push the fold in the boutique space to deliver the most effective commercial outcomes and litigation experiences for clients.”

In the Australian legal market, boutique firms are offering specialised services and flexible models, providing clients with genuine alternatives to traditional approaches to legal services. In a year that saw unique challenges brought on by COVID-19, Australasian Lawyer explains that boutiques were well placed to navigate those challenges and perform.

“Boutique firms that had prepared for the future were able to make the shift quickly, as they already had in place the systems and technology needed for lawyers to work at home. Some were even able to use the pandemic to inform their areas of practice and bolster their expertise.”

Aptum would like to thank Australasian Lawyer for the recognition, and congratulate those firms also recognised for their performance in the boutique space.
